Claremont Youth Basketball (CYB) is a California Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation. CYB’s mission is to provide a youth recreational basketball program to preserve, expand, and contribute to the health, development, and well-being of the youth in Claremont and neighboring communities.
CYB is a volunteer organization and its activities are managed and overseen by its Board of Directors. A directory of the CYB Board members is available on the CYB website at www.claremontyouthbasketball.com.
Among its various activities, CYB’s primary activities include:
Annual Clinic Program for 1st and 2nd Grade Boys and Girls
Annual Boys Recreational League organized into three divisions:
Annual Girls Recreational League organized into three divisions:
Girls 2 (3rd / 4th / 5th Grade)
Girls 1 (6th / 7th / 8th Grade)
Registration normally occurs from September through mid-October
League normally runs from early November through early March
Annual Co-Ed High School Recreational League:
“CYB3” (9th - 12th Grade)
Registration normally occurs from September through mid-November
League normally runs from early December through early Marc
Although the recreational leagues are competitive, the primary goals for all of CYB’s programs are to:
Provide a safe, positive, and fun athletic environment to all youth in CYB
Provide fundamental instruction and development about the game of basketball, including individual skills development; team play development; and the development and modeling of positive sportsmanship.
